May 31, 2009, 10:41 amLast Thurday I had ATT come put in Uverse at our home. I went for the TV and Web package.
We’d heard people talk about U-Verse coming to our city, but those typically don’t come true. All of a sudden right around the start of the month, We got word it was true.
So we switched and really like. The menu is marvellously arranged, and is greater than anything have ever used. The service also is instantaneous, eradicating the wait I always dealt with when selecting a channel with satellite. The awesomest part about attuverse TV is we can program my DVR using our home computer or through my mobile, and it provides 4 inputs of taping so I can tape various HD episodes and 2 SD ones at once. The standard definition shows are pretty clear, and the HD seems to be pretty wonderful also.
I researched and found att uverse bundles for u-verse and our family registered thru the web, and should get $200 in rewards. Also Att Uverse also has NO contracts upon get it. They’re doing this to entice households to test the new technology. So basically I’m essentially on a no cost couple month test. The only issue was the 3 week wait for install, and the fact that the receiver remote they gave us will not turn my new television off. Those are Minor issues really for a great product.

Believing in Great Expectations Means Mingling with Quality People
May 23, 2009, 7:36 pmFirstly, I couldn’t characterize myself as downright comfortable being picky and remain an honest woman. Even then, I’m not unhappy about it, either. I only suggest it on the blogosphere as an ear-catching personal tidbit setting up the story I am about to reveal to you
This time last week I met for coffee with Sandy, considering joining a Dallas Singles dating service. Today, I sit to you as a surprisingly pleased member of the singles network. Totally, and I almost don’t believe it myself! I like it! If you have read my old blog, you may be wondering, “You totally owe me an explanation.”
So, I saw these Great Expectations Reviews and can really get behind their approach. They’re for the serious singles who care enough to know dating isn’t a game.
Quite frankly, I’d never been too big on the ridiculous nightlife ritual a lot of singles call “The Dating Experience.” I faced it all the time. Every night they ask, “You’re still single? ” and “Oh I know just the guy for you!”
“Ugh, and double ugh.” I banter right back, without missing a beat. “Take a look around, I’m not missing much.”
“Don’t be silly,” they reply. “How would you know, you haven’t seen Friday Night Magic in a year!”
Thankfully, that’s my sister (she’s the best) (hehe) Trisha Feldman. She offers reality to my brain to put me back on course. Caring souls you can trust to offer perspective. She made a good point, and I joined.
Back to the meaning of this essay. As I browsed from hundreds of combinations of outfits for my first singles event with Great Expectations, something occurred to me that was quite honest. For the longest time, I hadn’t entertained the greatest of figurative great expectations for dating in the fun-filled winding course of being human. Being single isn’t so bad, specifically with healthy optimism. Holding great expectations makes a difference for a caring soul.

To Mom, With Love…
May 21, 2009, 6:01 amAs a mother of 2, I know how busy and full a day can be, whether you work from home or not. Between making lunches for school, cleaning up spilled apple juice, walking the dog, making sure the garbage is out on the proper morning, housecleaning, the list goes on.
As Mother’s Day approaches, children everywhere are searching for the perfect gift to give the special lady, the ‘everything’, in their lives. To the woman who deserves to be celebrated every day of the year, give the gift of relaxation. Every mom looks forward to the moment or two she has for herself when she can pick up that book or magazine she has been trying to read for weeks.
Give mom a little chunk of peace. Gather up some ingredients from your kitchen cupboards or local Organic Market, and mix up a simple recipe for Bath Melts that will be the envy of all the other moms at playgroup. Our ‘Homemade’ recipe offers an alternative to conventional bath oils or bubble bath, most of which contain perfumes and some even toxic chemicals. And, any gift that is handmade is greatly cherished!
This 100% natural Bath Melts recipe can be adjusted to be naturally fragranced with pure essential oils of your choice, or simply unscented for sensitive skins.
In a small saucepan on the stove, melt:
5 Tablespoons Cocoa butter
3 Tablespoons Shea butter
3 oz carrier oil
When just melted, remove from heat and set aside to cool further. In a separate dish, combine:
3 oz Citric Acid
8 oz Baking Soda
1 oz Milk Powder (Whole, Skim, Goat, or Soy)
Optional additions:
up to 10 drops essential oil of your choice
dried lavender or rose petals
Use a fork to get all of the lumps out, and mix powders thoroughly.
When Cocoa butter mixture is cool, but still liquefied, add Baking Soda mixture and stir. If combination begins to fizz, then the oil mixture is still too hot. It is a good idea to test a teaspoonful of Baking Soda mixture into the oil mixture before you add the full amount. Once you mix the powders into the butters, the consistency should be similar to thick cookie dough.
Once stirred, pour the mixture into ice cube trays, or small, decorative candy molds, and cool in the freezer until solid. Remove trays from freezer before cubes are actually frozen, approximately 15 minutes.
Remove cubes from trays and store your Bath Melts in a glass canister with a lid, at room temperature, and away from moisture or they may begin fizzing! You may also want to wrap each melt in decorative candy foil and a pretty ribbon to give as a gift.
When ready to use, unwrap a melt, drop into a warm bath and watch those moisturizing butters fizz away! Enjoy!
Just a warning: mom, and the bathtub, will be very slippery after a bath with a melt!
This recipe yields approximately 1 ice cube tray full.
