Intelius: a History of Commitment
Empowering its growing client base with a comprehensive portfolio of products and services to make informed critical decisions, Intelius has built a reputation of stalwart commitment to its customers. This can easily be seen in the many awards it has garnered in recognition of its model culture, exemplary offerings, and corporate philanthropy.
Naveen Jain established Intellius in 2003, encouraged by the success of his earlier online directory venture, InfoSpace. He has served as the screening solutions and background check provider’s Chief Executive Officer since. Within a mere three years, he has led the company to become one of the Top 100 Commerce Sites on the Internet and one of Washington CEO Magazine’s Top Private Companies.
Intelius’ IDWatch, a premier identity theft prevention product, has garnered recognition as WSA’s Consumer Product of the Year in 2005. Another critically-acclaimed offering is the company’s Background Check service, which garnered a spot as a finalist in the 22nd Annual CODiE Awards. This competition sponsored by the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA), identified Intellius as a candidate for the Best Online Consumer Information Service Category.
The professionalism and dedication Intelius exudes is even more so clear in difficult times. When one of its commercial resource, a cell phone directory service, received concerned consumer feedback it announced the immediate discontinuation. As Communications Manager Liz Murray explains “…It’s clear the market is still not ready. We always listen carefully to our customers.”
Intelius has also risen above the expectations of its other stakeholders, especially the many charitable institutions it has supported throughout the years. One such beneficiary is the Overlake Service League. As Trish Carpenter, the non-profit organization’s Director for Fundraising & Development, emphatically shares, “I think Intelius has taken a real leadership role in our community…setting an example that we hope other businesses will follow.”
