Marmot Tents Offer More Space at Lower Cost

September 24, 2009, 10:52 am

For decades, Marmot tents have been renowned for their exceedingly good quality. The company makes some of the lightest tents with imported Pertez Quantum fabric.

Marmot’s Eos 2-person 3-season tent offers more space with less weight. The DAC clip system makes its construction taut and provides additional tensile strength, while through the new hub system the tent increases its internal capacity. You can also store your gear in a spacious vestibule. The tent has a bathtub floor that provides extraordinary protection in rough weather conditions, especially when it is raining.

Marmot’s Alpinist 2-person Tent is made with advanced polyester, and it comes with extremely light poles. It provides you with complete protection in high winds and snow. The tent can be easily set up in just a few minutes. It has flexible zip ventilators and a vestibule for boots and wet gear.

The Marmot NYX 2-person 3-season tent is designed to last a lifetime. You can set it up in no time because of its innovative design, featuring a combination of sleeves and clips. The tent has knee poles that provide a lot of internal space and add to the strength of the tent. Like other Marmot tents, this one too comes with a wide front vestibule that offers huge storage space.

One of the best Marmot tents is the Marmot Hypno 2-person 3-season tent that comes with more space than its other products. From the standpoints of storm protection and durability too, it is the best product from the company. The tent has two doors with sufficient vestibule space outside each door, making it a good choice when you are carrying a lot of gear.

Explore Australia by Car

August 30, 2009, 6:24 pm

The smallest continent and largest island in the world is Australia. It is almost as large as the 48 adjoining U.S.. With 20.4 million people in population, mostly concentrated in the eastern and southeastern coastal urban areas. This means that there are big open areas to explore in the rest of the country, and this can often be accomplished by car. Gorgeous coastal lines, inland mountainous regions and verdant tropical forests with native plants and wild life are there for the traveler to discover.

A traveller with an international driving permit or a validated American or European driving licence in English can easily organize for a car rental at the airport or hotel. There are heaps of car hire companies providing different types of vehicles, from diverse makes and sizes of cars and SUVs to minivans, camper vans and RVs, minibuses, and 4WDs. No matter what your needs and preferences are, there will always be a vehicle to suit you. For example, camping enthusiasts can get camper vans that will sleep up to 6 people, and come fitted with a microwave, gas stove, griller and refrigerator. Some even have double beds, toilet and shower in addition to the mini-kitchen. There are four-wheel-drives that would be suitable for more tough terrain. If budget is sensitive, there are economy compact cars and economy campers. There are also convertibles and luxury large cars, if you want to travel in style.

If you are visiting Australia from another country, you should be knowledgeable with the driving conditions: driving on the left side of the road, observing the different speed limits (in kilometres) and regulations in the States to be visited, checking weather and road conditions before travel, letting police know of travel plans if driving in rural areas, making way for the road trains (a semi-truck hauling 3 large trailers), etc. The car hire company will usually supply you with detailed information on driving rules and regulations, supplies to take (most importantly, plenty of water), what to do in case of emergency, potential dangers such as wildlife and driving at night, as well as accommodations, routes and resources on the road. Study and preparation in advance will insure a successful and pleasant car vacation in Australia.
